Working on new items for Teachers Pay Teachers

It's 11:05... I'm tired...my wrist hurts...my knee hurts...my eyes ache...so what am I doing...I'm working on new products for my TpT store. Well, at the moment I'm blogging-but just for a moment-then back to work. I really need to take a break and get some Tylenol in my system.

I'm working on 2 products at the moment. Out Of This World Graphing is the first product. I love the graphics in this unit!!!! It's basically finished, but I can't think of how to word the description page. That's always a stumbling point for me.

The 2nd project is my February Morning Worksheets pack. My morning work packs are real lifesavers for  me in the classroom. I have a 2 page front and back packet on my students desks every morning. It takes most of the students 15 to 30 minutes to complete the packet. These packets are not busy work, but review of skills that we have worked on during the year.

That's all for now. I am getting up to search for some Tylenol!

Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas! I hope you have had a blessed day with family and friends.

Has anyone started their New Year's resolutions list yet? So far my list looks like this:

1. Become a better blogger
2. Blog at least twice a week
3. Learn how to join and host linky parties
4. Upload at least one new product a week on Teachers Pay Teachers

Hmmm....sounds like I'm going to be very busy this coming year!

I'm going to try to insert a video next. This video has my daughter Mollie's boyfriend as a hunter attaching a scope to his gun, then lining up to shoot a deer. Yep, I know it has nothing to do with early childhood education or TpT... but it's a neat commercial!

Merry Christmas!!!

Thanksgiving

We spend Thanksgiving in the Great Smoky Mountains. This year we saw 2 black bears! One bear sighting was in Cades Cove. I love this place!!! I thought I would share a picture from the trip. The lump to the left of the tree is the bear. Yeah, I know it's not a great shot, but my expensive camera died on this trip. I used my trusty iPhone for the picture.

It's been awhile...

It's been a month since my last post! Well my first post actually... I have been sooo busy though! And it looks as if things are going to stay that way for a lot longer.
My oldest daughter (Autumn) was diagnosed with a very rare type of breast tumor in October. A partial mastectomy was done on October 31st. The tumor was  non cancerous. Please keep her in your prayers. She is a 2nd year high school science teacher that is working on her Masters and planning a June 1st wedding!
Mollie is my youngest daughter. She is currently a junior in college. She has changed majors recently and is still somewhat unsure of what she wants to be when she grows up.
     Things I'm currently working on:
1. My Teachers Pay Teachers store is up and running! Woo Hoo! I'm working on about 3 files that I hope to have uploaded to TPT by next weekend. I must admit that I have an addiction...I'm addicted to TPT! My family is getting a little jealous with the amount of time I spend working on my TPT files.
2. I think I'm about to figure this blogging thingy out...We'll see. I did find and add this new free Owl themed template. Yep, this old lady did it! Then I figured out how to add the Teachers Pay Teachers badge to the blog! I hope to make my blog more interesting by learning how to add pictures. I think others might like seeing how my classroom is setup ect...
3. Lesson plans! Oh, my...the new standards are a bit of a challenge for this going on 32 years veteran of the classroom. But the great finds that I have found on TPT have made the transition go rather smoothly.
That's all for today. Thank you for stopping by!

First attempt at blogging...

This is my first attempt at blogging. I certainly hope I can figure this blogging enigma out!
My goals and reasons for blogging...Hmmmmm:
1. I would like to share my thoughts and ideas on teaching with others. 32 years of teaching experience! Yep, I can pretty much say I've been there and done that...
2. I like...no love technology! The challenge of setting up and starting a blog intrigues me. (Can she do it? Yes, she can!)
3. Another outlet for my creativity...That's it! Another outlet for my creativity!
And there you have it! My very first attempt at blogging!
...and to be answered at a later time-Why did you name your blog "First Grade Enigmas"? Oh, come on now. I know that's what you were thinking!
